Less noise, more soul ✨
New ways for us to connect
As a teacher and student of authenticity, the deeper I study it, the more I must live it. The word I used there is “must”, not “should” or “want to”, but “must.” It begins to feel like there is no other option but to live my truth, and that’s a good feeling. Like being called to something. We’ve each been called to ourselves. Our whole selves.
I guess that’s what I’ve been grappling with for how to market my business in a way that fits my values.
I stand for LSD living, like I shared a few weeks back. Long, slow and deep.
I believe in taking walks every afternoon.
I believe in waiting for the tea to steep.
I believe in books.
I still use a paper planner.
I believe in the tangible. The tangible leads us to the five senses and the five senses lead us to the present. When we are present we are most naturally creative and receptive to creative ideas.
In this way, I have to market my business in a way that helps me feel alive, creative, present…and also allows my audience to feel the same.
Substack does that for me. It slows me down. I have to read long form posts with a cup of tea or a glass of wine - soft and slow and thoughtfully.
Similarly, I typically use YouTube to find inspiration or an interesting thought on a deep subject.
I know these platforms can also be used quickly, like traditional social media, but that’s the user’s preference.
What feels good to me is slow intentionality. So that’s what I’m offering you through these platforms.
Less quick hits of dopamine and more slow, soulful chats like I love.
What about you? How do you most like to consume content?
TLDR;
These blog posts will keep on comin’ like they have been for quite some time.
However, I’m also getting really intentional about sharing long form blog posts on Substack, and also doing live paint and chats on YouTube. Be sure and follow me on both to get notifications for new posts there.
As always, thanks for being along for the journey. I hope you stay inspired as a result. ✨
