Why I Created It

Named for the Styx song that was playing while I painted, “Come Sail Away” is my interpretation of what it would feel like to let all of our troubles float way as we let it all go and calmly sail away, into the deep turqoise of a calm sea.

Sometimes floating feels irrational. There are images and shapes. Symbols and colors. It’s okay for things to not mean anything. We spend way too much time trying to rationalize and explain everything away. What if we let things just float around us like thoughts inside a lava lamp? How would your life change?

This piece invites you to “come sail away” each time you gaze at it.

About Intuitive Art

Intuitive art is unique in that it is always subject to change; to tell a new story or give a new piece of advice, if you will. I believe this piece was meant for you if it speaks to you. This is for a reason. Your intuition always knows what you most need in any given moment, even if your head is stuck in confusion.

Many of my clients find symbols, meaning and feelings within their piece long after their initial reception of it. Be open to the colors, images and meanings that stand out at you each time you view it.

A fun thing I like to recommend is to rotate the orientation of the canvas periodically. There is no right side up with this painting! Rotate and use your imagination to see new aspects of the painting from time to time.

Lastly, everything is energy. I intentionally pour love and positive, sparkling energy into all of my paintings. It is my hope that this painting will hold that energy and share it with you when you most need it. It’s meant to raise your vibration and help you strengthen your own intuition.
