Around this time of year a lot of people start taking stock on where they've been and how far they've come in the past 52 weeks.
A big learning theme for me this year was around money mindset and how the lack of developing this mindset skyrocketed my growth and confidence. I've carried this theme into December by taking careful notice of my best and worst investments this year.
While I invested in a lot of things, including changing my style, traveling to New York, Canada and tomorrow I'll be in California, these weren't necessarily life-changing trips.
The life-changing came in from my BEST investment of the year.
For years I've been wishing and hoping that my creative business would finally take off and take shape. I prayed and worked and studied and tried -- but still, nothing.
Then I learned that money is energy and you have to put energy in the areas of your life that you care about. I realized that if I cared half as much about my business as I said I did, I'd be putting a heck of a lot more time, money and all around energy into helping this ship set sail.
So I took a major leap -- one that surprised me but also felt 100% right.
I invested in a professional-grade success mindset program.
I hired a coach.
I completed the first program and re-upped into the next level.
These three pieces were key in helping me make massive moves in 2018, not just in my business but also personally and professionally.
The best of the three, as you may have guessed, was the coaching. While I learned a ton from the group courses, I found the deepest healing and growth in one-on-one coaching designed just for me.
Through 1:1 coaching I was able to see for the first time my own subconscious blocks and how they were keeping me stuck, broke and frustrated.
I'm now coaching other creatives in my own unique way. Creative Confidence is what I specialize in. I'm genuinely excited about helping others uncover their own blocks so they too can go after their biggest creative dreams.
