If individuation is my main message, then travel is method of that course. Fewer things have stretched my mind and body more than travel. I don't believe traveling for luxury or Instagram-bragging. I believe travel is a much deeper spiritual act of the body. It cleanses the senses and makes all life new again.
“The traveller writes about home; those who never really leave home write travel books.”

If you want the skinny on how to do what in a specific location, this is for you.
Let's go. >>>
Turner Falls is located inside the Arbuckle Mountains. They were discovered in the 1878 and named after the man who discovered them, Mazeppa Thomas Turner. Today it is a playground for swimming, hiking and camping!
One of the closest and most popular hiking destinations is in the Quartz Mountain area, located 20 miles north of Altus. There are several great hiking trails in this area, but this post will focus on one specific trail: Baldy Point.
Aerial yoga is a mix between aerial arts – you know the beautiful bodies at the circus who twirl and flirl and jump and dive around the air in between long sheets of silk cloth – and traditional yoga. The result is an amazingly effective stretch and strengthen session that leaves you both wonderfully exhausted and refreshed all at the same time.
We went to a river bend just north of Tom Steed. It was a small, dirt road that I would have never noticed, nor probably ever driven by, but it led to a beautiful Oklahoma Wildlife Management Area (WMA) which was perfect for a day of river cruising.
As a local from Altus, I promise you I get asked nine times a day what in the world there is to do in Altus, Oklahoma. There's more here than you realise. There is lots of things to do in Altus, Oklahoma. The Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, Quartz Mountain, local events like the Frederick Oyster Fry and more!
It's phenomenal how many songs have been written about San Francisco. “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” by Otis Redding, “Lights” by Journey, “California on my mind” by Wildlights and the Tony Bennet classic, “I left my heart in San Fransisco.” My personal favorite might be the self-titled “San Fransisco” cover by the Mamas and the Papas.
Vicarious living at its best. Here are two collections of my favourite adventures.
